We want all Bus Confidence users to access our information. We have regularly tested our website to ensure it is fully accessible in the most popular web browsers and main computer operating systems.

Each browser has options to customise the way pages are displayed, so you may change the settings to suit your preferences. You may be able to change the font, text size and colours so that you can read the text more easily.

For example, in Microsoft Internet Explorer you can change the size of text by selecting View >> Text Size from the menu.

We always ensure that as much of our website as possible is accessible to users with disabilities using text readers.

For anyone having access problems, the Leicester Disability Information Network* is an organisation linked to the city council. Their website* allows users with disabilities to choose different display options. It also has information for people interested in disability issues, both within Leicester and beyond.

How to access PDF files
Where documents are too large to convert into web pages they are sometimes available to download as PDF files. Tools are available to help you view these files here: http://access.adobe.com*.

Bookmarking Pages You can bookmark pages so that you can easily find these again at another time:

• To do this in Microsoft Internet Explorer select Favourites >> Add to Favourites
• To do this in Firefox select Bookmarks >> Bookmark This Page
• To do this in Safari select Bookmarks >> Add Bookmark
• To do this in Opera select Bookmarks >> Bookmark Page.

PDFs are usually used where documents are lengthy or need to be put on the site very quickly, rather than converting them to web pages. They are also used where we want to retain the original print quality and layout of a document, such as with Leicester Link, the council's civic magazine.
